Are You A Visionary?

I'm a visual person. I make lists. I have post it notes everywhere. It's just who I am. It's how I remember to do something. If it's not in front of me, it won't get done.

Have you ever heard of a vision board before?? It's really a great idea. You go through some old magazine, photos, Pinterest boards (in my case) etc... And you cut out things that inspire you, projects that you would like to accomplish, fitness goals, places you would like to see, things you want to achieve for the upcoming year.

I am really blessed to have found some like minded craft seekers and we meet once a month. We each have a month that we bring a craft project to the table and this month Maureen decided on doing a vision board. Papers were flying, conversation was flowing and it was really a great night to brainstorm and think about a vision for this year.

All you need is a foam board, scissors, Mod Podge and maybe a marker or two.

For me this was an exercise in priorities. It's Biblical to have goals. Proverbs 29:18 from 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) says, 18Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

I have so much I want to do. I've got LOTS of Etsy ideas. I have decorating projects for my home...weight loss goals, healthy eating goals, photography goals etc... Having them in right in front of me is really going to be the motivation I need to see them through. It will keep me focused. I really can't wait to get started. Now I just need a time management board;)

Are you a visionary too? Would this help you meet your goals??

Have a blessed day.

  3. This is a GREAT idea. I'm a list maker too but a list made into a fun, colorful board sounds so much more fun! Here's a little secret...I never knew that goal setting was Biblical...I LOVE that and of course it all makes perfect sense now. Thanks Becky even from across the country a woman I have never met can be a blessing to me. Gotta love that!

  6. It's real life "pinterest"ing! ...But I think that when you take the time to physically make a visual reminder, and go through the process of choosing, discussing, and cutting out those ideas that drive you...something has already been gained that may not happen simply by clicking "pin it."
