  1. My favorite summer vacation memory. . . . Last year I was introduced to Maine for the first time. Need I say more? Gorgeousness. We're going back this summer. :-D

  2. I was very blessed to grow up on a farm. My summer memories are full of helping my family in the garden, planting the fields, picking up rocks. Then there was all the really fun stuff like swimming at the river with cousins and making mudslides, wiener roasts, and tons of laughs. Lisa (love your blog you are a blessing) ldpyle@gmail.com

  3. Getting to spend the entire summer with my girls is always my favorite memory from the summer. God has called me to teach students with special needs, so having the chance to stay at home with my girls for 3 months will forever be my most favorite!

  6. My parents took us to all of the Historical Markers along the way on our trip to Florida one Summer. We learned so much and had a fun time running around freely on such a long ride.

  7. Hands down, my most favorite summer memories include going away to summer camp with my church youth group. I lived for church camp and counted down the days every year until I got to go again!

  8. All of my favorite summer memories revolve around my grandparents lake house in Texas. We spent so many summers swimming, boating, eating watermelon and playing in the sun! I have so many fond memories there and only wish my kids could have a place like that some day!

  10. When I was a young teenager, my brave single Mom would take me and my brother out west camping. We'd pack up all of our camping supplies, fly out west, rent a car and camp through our National Park jewels. We ran into bears, hiked many miles, ate lots of hotdogs and made lots of memories. Love. Summer!

  11. My family vacationed in the Bahamas. I love spending time in and on the water. I can't get enough of it! My dad and I would spend hours on the boat fishing. We have some great conversations out there, too.

  12. Great giveaway! My parents had a timeshare in the north Georgia mountains, and I loved the rock slide there at the resort. We spent all day every day sliding down that slide, tearing up our bathing suits!

  13. My favorite summer vacation memory? How in the world do I choose just one! Well, I think it's a tie between being proposed to last July, and a day trip to Disneyland. Both in the same summer, too! Guess 2011 was a special year! Yay! xoxo

  18. What a lovely collection of creative worship! Let's see - a favorite summer vacation memory? Growing up, we took our vacations anywhere we could camp - so many of my favorite memories are centered around our camping sites and experiences! We camped in Canada (heard a bear outside!), Florida (went to Disney World) and lots of places in between. Best of all we were together as a family and created long-lasting wonderful memories together!

  20. Everything in this giveaway is so beautiful and inspiring, i love that! My family always took vacations in January and we went up to the mountains but we did that because summer was always so busy with the fair. We were all in 4H and showed sheep and pigs and cows. I have so many fond memories of the fair during the summer as a family. The way it all smelled and looked and the boots with the wranglers and the wash rack were you went to groom your sheep. Not to mention curly fries and milkshakes :) So many good times!

  21. Where to begin? I've been blessed with so many summer vacation memories as a child and adult, whether they have been grandiose or not. But I'll stick with recent and simple. Last year, my family (brother's family & our parents included) went to Hilton Head for a week. My favorite part of the week was the bike riding around the island to our destinations. Whether it was to the beach, to the quickie mart for ice cream, or simply a ride to view some alligators, it was relaxing and fun. My kids loved it and it was a way for all of us to be together in an unconventional way. Of course, it certainly helps to have beautiful architecture and breathtaking creation all around you!

  22. I think I'd have to go back to our trips to North Carolina. My Grandmother and Granddaddy had a place up there for a few years. My brother and I would always ride up there 2 weeks before Moma and Daddy and spend some good ole' quality time with the grands. Something and some special moments I'll definitely never forget.

  23. My favorite memories is our family of five piling in our old mini van and driving 18 hours to the promise land, j/k, the beach where my grandparents lived! Something about the sand, the salty air and the fresh orange trees in their backyard just have a special spot in my memory... my grandfather would always say "hey, buddy" to us! Love it. And yes please, awesome giv-e-a-wa-y!

  24. My favorite summer memory would be driving from Florida up to the mountains in North Carolina. The drive was long but not too bad. Then we would spend a week hiking, finding waterfalls and sitting on the big front porch. Great Memories!

  25. Driving to my Grandparents house who just happened to live a few minutes from the beach. Soaking up the sun and playing in the waves everyday.

  27. when i was eight years old, i discovered that my father had tacked on a history major to his english degree in undergrad. that was the summer we toured one civil war battlefield after another. and ten years later, i took my first college course in international conflict and peace studies. i'd like to think that the seeds of future peace and reconciliation were sown on the fields of gettysburg that summer :)

thank you, all, for the give away!

  28. Camping! Every summer my mom would take us to our church family camp. It was such a fun place to connect with people over the years, even though we often only saw each other that one time a year. Walking by the same creek, eating the same capm food, and laughing with the same buddies.
