the rest of victory

In March of last year, as my 8 month old son lay in a hospital crib recovering from open heart surgery, our pastor handed me a piece of paper. Never has there been written words, aside from the Bible, that have meant so much to me.

Its so easy to say "God's in control" but when I read these words I'm in awe of how every situation and circumstance in my life is saturated with the love, guidance, knowledge of God.

He's present.
He knows.
He's in control.

  1. This very same sentiment from Alan Redpath was on my heart this morning just an hour ago! GOD IS SO GOOD! I was thinking about various fires the Lord has seen me through in my life and the call to feel grateful for the fires, not just being seen through them, because indeed those trials from directly from God as part of His good plan. Truly if a trial, a headache, a suffering "has come that far it has come with a great purpose". Thank you for blessing me today.

  2. I love this, and how we can really rest in the victory because Jesus has already done it.
